Sunday was kind of a let down cooking wise. I had for dinner a marinated steak from the butchers and it was way too sweet, the potatoes pie didn’t turn out so well and ended up as fried potatoes and the squash was kinda dry because I needed to use it up. So with that being said I wanted something to really uplift the night!
I recently bought a blender at the Box Store for $9.00. It was on sale and I have been waiting to get one because I wanted to make smoothies for breakfast. It’s your basic blender, plastic motorized base, plastic jar and lid type device. Blenders are kinda scary for me. I had one where the lid was not as secure and the suction took it right into my asparagus soup and dang near took my fingers! But I have to say I have over come my fear and been using it almost everyday for a month without incident.
I had some left over coffee from yesterdays morning. I had a major headache so I didn’t drink that much coffee and it was expensive coffee beans just to throw it out. That’s when I thought I would keep it to make Java Frapps. It turned out coffeelishous! The only thing I would change next time is cut the sugar in half and add ice cream to make the consistency less icy in appearance. Randy said it was sweet and at first I thought he was just being Anti-Sweets Man, the faithful Sidekick to the food pyramid. But by the time I let mine melt, the sugar level was through the roof. So thank you Anti- Sweets Man you saved the day!
